Ceremonial cacao is a term for high-grade, traditional chocolate that’s used to emulate some of the spiritual practices of the Maya and Aztec people.
One of the unique propositions of ceremonial cacao is that it’s minimally processed to retain all the possible health benefits of cacao.
Roasting is done at lower temperatures (compared to regular chocolate), while the conching and tempering stages are skipped entirely. The process stops when the cacao nibs turn into cacao mass, which is then roughly molded into a thick block.
Cacao aims at gently touching and opening up the emotional center of our body - our heart chakra. The medicine works specifically by bringing us back to the feeling of love, oneness and connection. We turn into our true and authentic selves, and are able to listen deep within to the deepest callings of our heart. This opens up the space to deeply connect to our higher path and our innermost self as we tap into the profound power and wisdom stored within each of us.

Spiritual benefits of Cacao
Cacao is a powerful tool for spiritual growth and connection.
In traditional indigenous ceremonies, cacao is often used as a way to connect with the spirit world and induce a state of mindfulness and relaxation. It is believed to open the heart and bring about a sense of inner peace and connection to the present moment.
Many people who have incorporated ceremonial grade cacao into their spiritual practices have reported feeling more grounded, present, and connected to their higher selves.
If you would like participate in a Cacao ceremony, Cacao is offered before Shamanic Reiki, and during our retreats and wellbeing evenings.
